I am inspired by the recent events at Columbia Mall this weekend. Three teenagers lost their lives due to a murder/suicide. I am praying for those young people and I hope their spirits find peace and rest. I also pray that our youth are able to learn how to find the beauty in the life we all live everyday.
I am thankful right this moment, for being able to sit on my living room couch with access to the internet and the ability to type that I am thankful for my teenage son who stands in my kitchen to the right of me, giggling. He is supposed to be washing dishes, but something has made him laugh.
I am thankful for the lights on our Christmas tree that I still turn on every night. They are brilliant and our tree was decorated beautifully by my children.
I am thankful for my children. They are smart, polite, kind and loving. They are intuitive and asks me if I'm ok, even when I believe I am.
I am thankful for our home, having electricity and heat, being able to cook a great dinner for my family and a husband that is home with us tonight.
